A few things about this site:

I wish I remembered why Paul wanted to buy the domain http://www.meidumgeese.com, but my memory is of no use. I know it has something to do with a painting found in an Egyptian tomb that is controversial because the geese depicted may not have existed in Egypt at the time of its creation. Which sounds exactly like the kind of thing Paul would spend hours reading about. Not knowing what to do with this domain I inherited, applying it to a blog seemed like a good choice.

The title of the site, and words to live by—usually Paul invoked this phrase when someone paused to consider whether or not to have another beer. I have decided to embrace its versatility, and to apply it to my life anytime I hesitate to act. Like writing a blog. I really enjoyed writing about what Paul and I were up to over the 3-1/2 years of his illness. I think it felt safer to write blog about my life when it was ostensibly about someone else. Now that I don’t have Paul, indisputably the more fun half of this marriage, I hope I can still enjoy telling stories. I also hope it helps keep friends and family tuned into how I’m doing so they don’t have to ask me how I’m doing. Because if you ask, which is fine, I will tell you I’m doing okay.
